VFS Global is a commercial company, working in partnership with the Embassy of the Austria in Russia. Visa service centres provides visa information services (website and email enquiry service) and manage the Visa Service Centre. Your visa application will be processed and decided by the Embassy of Austria in Moscow. VFS and staffs at Visa service centre can give immigration advice but they cannot influence the outcome of your visa application. If any member of staff employed by Visa service centre claims to be able to influence your visa application, you should inform the Embassy of Austria in Moscow immediately.

The Visa Application Centres process Schengen and Transit visas. You need to apply directly at the Austrian Embassy in Moscow in case you fall under any of the below stated categories
Submission through representative, friends etc.
Resident permit
Holder of official passports
Submission through accredited travel agencies

Applicants are solely responsible for the applications they submit. Any false documents or other misrepresentation of information in support of their application will have a direct bearing on the judgment of their application by the Embassy of Austria in Moscow.

Visa Application Process
 
Individual ....More
Individual: When you personally submit your documents at the visa service centre.

Step 1 : Click, “All About Visas”. Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how much time it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy of Austria Republic to decide on.  
Step 2 : Complete your application electronically or fill it manually with Black Ink and in bold letters. Please ensure you do not leave any section of the form blank.
Step 3 : If the application has been completed electronically you must print the form and checklist. Note: You cannot save the form as it is fill-able form only
Step 4 : Check fees payable, payment options and documents required. All such details can be found in the respective visa categories under the section ‘All about Your Visas’.
Step 5 : Sign form/s at all indicated places.
Step 6 : Ensure photos are strictly as per New Photo Specifications.
Step 7 : Check processing times to plan your travel accordingly.
Step 8 : Attach all supporting documents required as per the Checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.
Step 9 : Visit the visa service centre during the working hours to submit your Application along with the passport and required documents. Visa Service centre cannot accept applications in case you application does not meet the mandatory requirements
Step 10 : You must carry your Russian local passport and a photocopy of it. Staff at the visa service centre will ask for this document before accepting the application. We request you to please cooperate with the staff at the visa service centre to complete the submission process.
Step 11 : Wait for decision and continue Tracking your application online.
Step 12 : Collect your passport. Your passport will be returned to you by the mode of delivery opted by you when submitted the application. Allow for 2-3 days transit time or courier return applications. Transit times differ by location and do take into account any public holidays for Visa service centre. Read document collection process carefully

 
Accredited Travel agencies ....More
Visa service centres don’t accept applications from Accredited travel agencies. You must submit the applications directly to Embassy of Austria in Moscow.
 
 
Representative / Close Relatives ....More
Representative: Visa application centre cannot accept applications from the third person.

Close Relatives:Your visa application can also be submitted by your close relatives such as parents, grandparents, grandchildren and children with siblings provided they can prove family relationship with you. Please note: If you are required to make any corrections in the visa application form at the time of submission then this can only be done by applicant or if applicant has given authority letter to you to make such changes on his/her behalf.

Original document to prove the relationship with the applicant and a copy of the document
Internal passport
Step 11 : Wait for decision and continue Tracking your application online.

Documents collection process ....More
Option 1: You can collect your visa application in person or you can ask your relative to collect it on your behalf.

Applicants collecting their documents in person must present the following:

Proof of your identity. Staffs at the visa application centre verify your identity before the passport is given back to you.
All original receipts that you were given in the visa application centre when you submitted your visa application.

If a close relative, friend is collecting your documents on your behalf they must present the following documents:

A letter of authorization letter signed by you and proof of their identity and relationship proof (for relatives).
All original receipts that you were given in the visa application centre when you submitted your visa application.

The collection times and visa application centre address are given on the Contact us page on this website. You can only collect your documents within these set times.

Option 2: Alternatively you may choose to have your documents delivered to your home or business address using the courier service (fee payable). Please see the additional services page on this website for more information about courier services.

Please Note: If you have lost your receipts then you must come in person to collect your passport and provide us a signed letter as an acknowledgment of passport collection. The visa application centre will not give your passport to your nominated person in this case.
 
 
Uncollected documents ....More
You must collect the decision on your visa application, passport and supporting documents within 30 days from the date it reaches to the visa application centre. If you do not collect your passport within this period then visa application centre will return it to the Embassy of Austria in Moscow. If this is the case, you will need to email the Embassy of Austria in Moscow at moscow-ka@bmeia.gv to request for your documents. The visa application centre will not be able to help you once the 30 days has past and your documents have been sent to the Embassy of Austria in Moscow.
